Oshki Ogimaag Community School has long been committed to providing a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and snack, incorporating local foods and including produce harvested in our local gardens; to students at no cost to their families and now this endeavor is also supported through Minnesota’s Free School Meals for Kids Program.Applications for educational benefits are still required by MDE for funding purposes.

Students are involved in the planting, growing, and harvesting processes, serving our mission of providing students with hands-on, community-based projects, rooted in Anishinaabe culture and tradition, and contributing to the wellness of future generations.
