Oshki Ogimaag Community School Board

The Oshki Ogimaag Community School Board of Directors is made up of licensed teachers employed at OOCS, parent/guardians of students currently enrolled at Oshki Ogimaag Community School and Grand Portage Community Members. Please reach out to discuss any questions, comments, concerns, and suggestions that you may have.

The OOCS Board does NOT currently have any committees with Board delegated authority, but is currently developing a Finance Committee.

I’ve been part of the Oshki Ogimaag team since 2022 and currently serve as Assistant Director, SpEd Coordinator, Interventionist and Literacy Lead. I hold a BA in Philosophy from St. Catherine University and an MA in Family Life Education from Concordia University, St. Paul, with graduate research focused on Autism Spectrum Disorders. With nearly 30 years in education serving in roles from Teacher to Director, and as a parent of 6 unique learners, I believe learning should be inclusive, joyful and rooted in relationships. It’s an honor to serve Grand Portage and grow alongside students in our classrooms without walls. My family lives in Grand Marais, and I find peace in cooking, enjoying a good movie, time with family and friends, nature walks, bonfires, and listening to the waves of Gichigami.
