Jacob Peterson Paro is a proud resident and Band member of Grand Portage who brings a strong commitment to community, culture, and service to Oshki Ogimaag. His experience includes working at the Grand Portage National Monument, supporting Elders through the Grand Portage ENP, and serving as the cook for the Grand Portage Community Summer Camp, where he prepared meals for local children. Through these roles, Jacob has deepened his connection to community and strengthened his dedication to serving others with respect and integrity.
Jacob brings valuable cultural knowledge of Ojibwe traditions, strong communication skills, and a heart for working with people of all ages. He recently returned home to Grand Portage after living in Eastern Kentucky and with excitement, begins this new chapter as a Special Education Paraprofessional. In his free time, Jacob enjoys gaming, spending time in nature, and being with his three pets—Sage, Jamie, and Myrtle.
We are grateful to have Jacob as part of our school Community.
